FOCUS News Agency speaks with the mayor of Kavarna Tsonko Tsonev about the seventh edition of Kavarna Rock Fest. The festival runs from 13 to 15 July in Kavarna.

FOCUS: Mr. Tsonev, the seventh edition of Kavarna Rock Fest was opened on Friday. Which Bulgarian and foreign bands have confirmed participation in the festival?
Mr Tsonev: Most rock bands are here in Kavarna. Command 5, BTR, Michael Schenker Group, then the band of Glenn Hughes and Dio Disciples - the band of Ronnie James Dio with vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens - former singer of Judas Priest played on Friday. On Saturday will play the American band Stryper, and before them will play the Bulgarian D2. After Stryper on the scene will appear Sebastian Bach, former lead singer of Skid Row, with the band Big Noize. On Sunday the Bulgarian band Ahat will close the event align with Kamelot, Lizzy Borden and Rhapsody of Fire. These are nice groups - some young, some older. This year we have five Bulgarian groups - BTR, Command 5, D2, Ahat and Renegade and nine foreign groups.

FOCUS:Which foreign groups have already arrived here and which are to come?
Mr Tsonev: Sebastian Bach who will play today was placed in Royal Cove complex at the beach in Kavarna. Kamelot and Lizzy Borden arrived today, but others are already in and around Kavarna at the golf course in Kaliakra, at Royal Cove complex, Otdih hotel. They are preparing for the festival.

FOCUS: Have you already sold tickets for Kavarna Rock fest and how many people will attend this year?
Mr Tsonev: We sold many tickets. We expect in the three days over 10,000 people visit the festival. This is good for us because our citizens are 11,000.

FOCUS: Is the tourist interest in the festival serious and from which countries tourists come to hear the bands live in Kavarna Rock Fest?
Mr Tsonev: Regarding that fact that the whole bed base in the Municipality is booked - there is not a free bed, then the interest is quite high.

FOCUS: How do your guests foreign bands feel here in Kavarna?
Mr Tsonev: I think they feel perfect. I went to the mussel farm, went to a restaurant Bulgarian, the Kaliakria. Glenn Hughes and his band toured the northern coast by a boat. Glenn Hughes and the band Dio Disciples played a golf tournament.
