Sliven. Bulgarian mother, who threw her baby out from the second floor of a social home in the town of Sliven on Friday, will remain under arrest.
Initially the prosecutor’s offices imposed a restraining order of 24-hour arrest but it was later on extended to 72-hour arrest.
The baby died of its injuries yesterday after undergoing a complex brain surgery, the hospital where it was received announced for Radio FOCUS – Sliven. It fell down from 6-meter height.
The mother was suffering depression at the psychiatric ward after aggressive attitude towards the staff and refusal to eat. She also had slight mental retardation.
Work on the case continues.
