Sofia. In relation with the complicated situation with the health services for refugees accommodated in centres in the southern Bulgarian town of Elhovo, Actavis donates medicines from its portfolio to Saint Ivan of Rila hospital in the town of Elhovo, the press centre of the pharmaceutical company announced.
The donation is worth BGN 35,000 and includes medicines of first necessity, such as anti-inflammatory drugs, medicines for the cardiovascular system, antihistamines, antibiotics, children’s syrups, intravenous therapy bags, vitamins, pain-killers, intravenous antibiotics, eye drops.
In addition, Actavis is holding a donation campaign inside the company in order to raise funds. Employees from the commercial and production company in Bulgaria are joining the campaign. Disinfectants, soap, nappies, consumables for personal hygiene, disposable latex medical gloves and surgical masks will be donated to the refugee centres in the town of Elhovo with the help of the money raised in the campaign. The donation of consumables will take place in partnership with the Bulgarian Red Cross in the southern city of Yambol.
