14 November 2009 | 21:56 | FOCUS News Agency

Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Inter Expo and Congress Center in capital Sofia engineer Ivan Ivanov in an interview with FOCUS News Agency

Focus: Mr Ivanov how effective are such fairs as the one in Inter Expo and Congress Center in capital Sofia-“Meat mania world of milk, bull peck, wine hall, inter food, and drink (November 11 to 14)? Do companies succeeded to find business partners?
Ivan Ivanov: Foreign companies, usually search partners in the country and almost every time they find and next year you will see that the wine of this Sicilian is sold by Bulgarian company. This happens at almost every exhibition. When they come in Bulgaria they started searching with whom to work here, who will sell their products in Bulgaria and that is how they act in the future as well.

Focus: Do you have the statistic data from the last exhibition, for example, how much contracts have been signed?
Ivan Ivanov: We have never work in this direction, such data have been made before the Plovdiv fair.

Focus: Then how do you measure the effectiveness of such exhibitions?
Ivan Ivanov: If you see that these products are at the market then the companies remain here. We have never watch and we have not wanted to turn into an agency, which watches which company what kind of contracts have signed.
