Miroslav Naydenov: The two helicopters continued to extinguish the fire from the air. There are also firemen, forestry workers and volunteers. They will continue fighting the fire until daylight, because after then is risky. During the night in the area of the fire will remain only joint patrols of firefighters and forest guards to monitor the fire and to control any reversal of the fire. Much equipment is focused in the area. There are 5 special off-road vehicles of the forest service for those special places where fire vehicles can not enter. There are many mobilized forestry officials. There employees of the Fire Station and Civil Protection since the outbreak of the fire, who also remain at the site. Tomorrow helicopters will continue to put out the fire from the air, joint coordinated actions continue. Let's hope that weather will not be against us and we will manage within the next day or two to put down the fire.

FOCUS: There is no possibility the fire to be extinguished today?
Miroslav Naydenov: It is not possible the fire to be put down today. This is a very big fire, which enveloped about 50,000 square meters of area. The area is hardly accessible and therefore we undertook extinguishing action from the air. Prevent the entry of people because they can easily be surrounded and trapped. Security of people is of first importance, so it is not possible to extinguish the fire today. I hope tomorrow or within the next few days to put out the fire at 100%. To announce the fire extinguished, there should be none smoldering sections. These are the specifics of the forest fire.

What will be the scale, which trees will be destroyed, what kind of territory, all these we can say after the fire is declared extinguished and experts would be able to get to the are to make their assessment.

FOCUS:What is the likely reason for the fire?
Miroslav Naydenov: Most likely it was caused by error of tourists. Sometimes these fires occur during thunderstorms, or in the area of already left camping. There are many hypotheses.
