Bulgarians pay lowest energy prices in the EU
Sofia. Data by the European Commission (EC) shows Bulgaria tops the statistics on lowest electricity price in the EU, BNR reports.

EC Spokesperson Marlene Holzner: Bulgarian energy market is not liberalised
Sofia. In an interview with BNR on Sunday, European Commission (EC) Spokesperson Marlene Holzner points out that an analysis of the EC includes data on wholesale prices of natural gas within the EU and adds that the Bulgarian energy market is not liberalised as Bulgaria has only one energy supplier.

At least one reported dead as tornadoes hammer Oklahoma, Kansas and Iowa
New York. A tornado half a mile wide struck near Oklahoma City on Sunday, part of a massive storm front that hammered the central United States. News reports said at least one person had died, Reuters reports.
