Ankara. Turkey has closed the Cilvegözü border crossing with Syria after a newly established Islamist rebel alliance seized the gate on the other side of the border. The seizure also prompted the United States to suspend all non-lethal assistance into northern Syria, Hurriyet reported.

Belgrade. Bulgaria and Serbia have an interest in developing a close economic cooperation, the two countries’ PMs Plamen Oresharski and Ivica Dacic concluded following their meeting in Sofia. The duo confirmed that a regular Belgrade-Sofia airline would be set up by March 30th next year, Serbian news website Akter reports. They also noted that the motorway connecting the two countries would be ready by 2016 at the latest.
