The meeting was also attended by Bulgarian outgoing Deputy Prime Minister for EU Funds and Economic Policies Tomislav Donchev, and high-ranking representatives of Alibaba Group, GS-Solar Company, and GoldPoly Group. The delegation was accompanied by outgoing Bulgarian Consul General to Shanghai Dimitar Abadzhiev.
The Chinese investors remarked that the interest in our country was a result of the good relations established between Mr Borisov and Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang.
There was a general evaluation shared on the activation of the bilateral business contacts over the past years after the Bulgarian participation on highest level in the 16+1 initiative, the economic forums organised, and the opportunities for discussion of concrete protects between the representatives of the business of the two countries.
Some of the issues discussed during the meeting included Alibaba Group’s ideas to invest in logistic centre in Bulgaria, GS-Solar Company’s intention to open a solar panels factory, and GoldPoly Group’s interest in buying Bulgarian tobacco.
