Minister Neno Dimov: The concession agreement for Pirin National Park has to be brought into line with the new requirements20 November 2017 | 14:46 | FOCUS News Agency
“The concession agreement must be brought into line with the new requirements. The old agreement provided for sanctions only in terms of revenue, environmental protection was not included, it is now in the proposed amendments. This is very important,” Neno Dimov explained. “The old management plan expired a long time ago, by law it remains in force for 10 years only. The procedure for its update needs to be completed, something that the mayor of Bansko requested in writing. I am obliged to act as stipulated by law,” he said.

Sofia. The construction of a second ski lift will help tourists to more easily reach the ski areas, Deputy Prime Minister on Economic and Demographic Policy Valeri Someonov told reporters. He spoke after a round table on the proposed completion of the amendment to the current plan for National Park Pirin, FOCUS News Agency reports. The completion was proposed by the mayor of Bansko. The new ski lift will not increase the number of tourists but will only reduce wait time, which is currently 2-3 hours, Simeonov said. He added that the concession payments would be increased.
