The MPs will probably override the presidential veto on the anti-corruption law, but with some adjustments to the law, political analyst Prof. Mihail Konstantinov commented for FOCUS Radio
’s morning show after President Rumen Radev returned the law to the Parliament, saying that the measures against corruption were insufficient. Prof. Konstantinov said the ruling majority should take into account some of the arguments suggested by the president and other people who raised concerns about the law. If there is no adjustment, the law should be sent to the Constitutional Court for consideration, he warned. The analyst has seen hastiness in the approval of this law. He thinks the politicians should rethink the issue and approve a law that is in favour of the whole society.
