"Bulgaria has consistently supported the Republic of Macedonia at its heaviest moments, we expect to remove the borders between people, to encourage friendship and business." This message was sent by the head of state Rumen Radev at meetings with political leaders, which took place late in the afternoon yesterday.
Rumen Radev called on the political leaders in the Republic of Macedonia to achieve unity with regard to the country's strategic goals, despite differences in their views at an internal political level.
The meetings also discussed aspects of the bilateral relations of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Macedonia and the prospects for the implementation of the Treaty of friendship, cooperation and good neighborliness between the two countries.
"I believe that we will soon see how people on both sides of our common border travel swiftly and comfortably, do business, invest and build freely, and cooperate intensively in culture, education and science," the head of state said in his conversations .
