Bulgaria must offer a roadmap for the European future of the Western Balkans, Bulgarian Vice President Iliana Yotova said in an interview with FOCUS Radio
in reference to the forthcoming discussion “All routes lead to Europe? Perspectives for a Federal Union”, which is part of the official programme of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU. In her words, the next step is for Bulgaria to offer a roadmap for these countries. “Bulgaria has made a bold move not only making the Western Balkans its priority but also putting them high on the EU agenda. If it all remains mere talk, we have achieved nothing. We must make the effort, we must find enough allies to support it. We have two months at our disposal, and I believe, if we do our job well, we will have concrete results,” said the vice president.
