Health minister not considering replacing managers of 7 investigated hospitals

Sofia. The Ministry of Health does not consider dismissing directors at 7 hospitals investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office for mismanagement, as no guilt has been proven so far, Minister Kiril Ananiev said, quoted by FOCUS News Agency. Ananiev explained that the ministry has presented data about damages to the Prosecutor’s Office and now the prosecutors will examine them.

Prosecutor Rumyana Arnaudova: We are launching 7 investigations for mismanagement after conducting an inspection of hospitals

Sofia. We are launching 7 investigations for mismanagement after conducting an inspection of hospitals, Prosecutor Rumyana Arnaudova, Spokesperson for the Prosecutor General, said at a press briefing at the Court House, summarising the results of an inspection of hospitals’ financial situation, FOCUS News Agency reports.
“We believe that all of these hospitals that will be investigated are on the brink of bankruptcy.
Pirogov emergency hospital is in a critical financial situation, as well, it will be a priority during our investigation,” she added.
The final report on the state of all hospitals in the country will be announced by the Ministry of Health by the end of March.
