The energy infrastructure, the specific location and the availability of labour are attracting investors to the industrial zones within Bulgaria, Antoaneta Bares, Executive Director of National Company Industrial Zones, told Focus Radio
. The existing energy infrastructure saves investors difficult administrative procedures, she explained. In addition, NCIZ is establishing contacts with universities and employers’ organisations to help the investors find employees. Noting that university fees in Bulgaria were higher than those in other European countries, Bares said that attracting more foreign students to the country was a new opportunity to address the problem with labour shortage. She also said that investors were increasingly interested in industrial areas on the sea coast.
