The tourism sector expects its revenues in the summer months of 2018 to reach BGN 4 billion, said Stoyan Marinov, board member at Varna Tourism Chamber, in an interview with Focus Radio
. In the same period last year, the revenues stood at BGN 3.7 billion. Revenues are growing faster than the number of tourists and overnight stays, which means that tourists are now spending more in Bulgaria, he said. “We have forecasts for a good tourist season in the summer of 2018, with an increase of tourists by about 4-5%, and hence of overnight stays,” Marinov said.
