34,000 fake coins were found in the home of the main member of a criminal group involved in counterfeit money making and distribution, prosecutor Nikolay Dimitrov said during a briefing, Focus News Agency
reports. The operation was carried out on June 13. The police also seized machines used for making the coins. The group had 4 members, presumably active since the autumn of 2017. Three have been charged so far, while the fourth one, a Turkish citizen, has not been found yet. The group could produce 1,500 coins of GBP 2 per day.
