12 people taken to hospital after bus crash on Trakia motorway

Sofia. Several people were injured this morning after a truck hit a bus of Sofia’s public transport on Trakia motorway. The bus, travelling from Lozen to Sofia, was hit from behind, the police said. A total of 12 people were taken to hospital, the spokesperson of the Emergency Medical Centre told Focus News Agency. The accident was reported to the emergency centre at 07.12. A 60-year-old man had a serious head injury, while other passengers were injured in the legs. A 4-year-old child had no apparent injury but was scared and was also taken to hospital.
The boy has a fracture in the leg and remains in Pirogov Hospital, so does a 25-year-old woman with a similar injury. Four people were taken to Pirogov after the accident this morning, including the mother who accompanies her son but has refused examination.
