Sofia. Busy traffic is expected on the roads in Bulgaria today, the last holiday for the Day of Independence. There will be stronger police presence on the major roads and motorways as well as at the entries and exits in major cities. The heaviest traffic is expected on Trakia, Hemus and Struma motorways. Increased traffic is also expected on the border checkpoints with Greece, Serbia and Romania.
As of 10 am, there is heavy car and truck traffic to Greece via Kulata checkpoint and considerable truck traffic, also from Bulgaria, on Kapitan Andreevo, Vidin and Oryahovo checkpoints, Border Police said.
