The two prime ministers discussed topics such as tourism, education, energy and security. In Borissov’s words, Bulgaria and Finland give a model of protecting EU's external borders, thanks to their political will, strong border police and agreements with third countries to ensure security.
He further said that as the best university for artificial intelligence is in Finland, the School of Artificial Intelligence and Innovation in Burgas and the mayor of Burgas requested that a teacher and student exchange programme be set up between the two institutions, and Prime Minister Sipila made a personal commitment to that. If it is success, it will be later be done with other schools. Borissov also said Finland has the best educational system and a year ago the Bulgarian education minister made a visit to learn about the system.
Borissov also commented the increase of Finish tourists visiting Bulgaria, who have doubled in number.
