President Radev returned the amendments for reconsideration on February 4. He contested 10 criteria that will apply to journalists, researchers and writers to prove legitimate use of personal data. He said this would create unnecessary, excessive regulation and limit freedom of expression and information. The leading parliament committee, internal affairs and security, rejected the presidential veto. This was the 13th legal act returned by President Radev.
