The Parliament ratified an additional agreement between the Ministry of Education and Science and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), facilitating the access of Bulgarian scientists to work at the organisation, Focus News Agency
reports. The supplementary agreement, signed last November in Sofia, is part of the memorandum of understanding on the CMS detector. Its ratification will have no impact on the state budget, as the costs will be provided within the approved ministerial budget. The agreement will ensure full participation by teams from Bulgarian scientific organisations and universities in the fundamental research and technological developments at CERN and will facilitate the access of Bulgarian scientists, engineers and other staff to jobs at the organisation.
