Sofia. There is no deal with Volya but ideas under discussion and real policies that are being implemented, GERB’s leader in Parliament Tsvetan Tsvetanov told a briefing after a meeting with Volya’s parliamentary group, Focus News Agency reports. Thus he rejected allegations by BSP that GERB was negotiating a deal with Volya. Among the discussed topics was the development of Northwest Bulgaria and minimum pension, Tsvetanov said. “Mr. Mareshki said that, as set out in their programme, the pension should reach BGN 240 by the end of 2021. We are talking about the real capacity of the state, not about populism and populist messages,” he said.Open in new tab

Sofia. Volya party’s conduct is cheap buffoonery, VMRO deputy leader Iskren Veselinov said to reporters about Volya’s decision to withdraw from Parliament, later reversed, Focus News Agency reports. “A politician must be serious, have serious theses and adhere to them. We see no theses from them, we only see cheap tricks,” he said. Regarding Volya’s registering for today’s sitting, Veselinov said that MPs were supposed to go to work. In his words, GERB and United Patriots can secure quorum in Parliament with full mobilisation. “The question is not why Volya comes to work, but why the other parliamentary groups do not come and do not register,” he said.Open in new tab
