The highest price of agricultural land was in the Northeast region - BGN 1,345 per decare. The increase in the price per decare of agricultural land compared to the previous year was reported in the North Central region – by 39.5%, and in the South Central region – by 22.7%. Land prices in the Southeast region remained at almost the same level as in 2017, with a slight increase of 0.8%. There was a decrease in the price of one decare of agricultural land in the Southwest region – by 53.4%, in the Northwest – by 4.5%, and in the Northeast region – by 4.0%.
In 2018, the average rental price per one decare of hired/leased agricultural land reached BGN 48, which was 4.3% more than in 2017. Compared to the previous year, the increase in the rent for arable land was 6.4%, while the rent price of permanent grassland remained unchanged.
In 2018, the highest price per decare of hired/leased agricultural land was in the Northeast region – BGN 69. An increase in the rental price compared to the previous year was observed in all statistical regions except the South Central.
