The programme seeks to promote direct co-operation between secondary and higher education schools. It will support bilateral contacts, exchange of lecturers and guest lecturers at higher education institutions teaching the language and culture of the other country.
In the new programme, the two parties plan to exchange each year on a reciprocal basis:
- Up to 5 students studying Bulgarian and Hungarian, respectively, for a period of study of one semester (5 months),
- PhD students, researchers and lecturers, for a total of 10 months, for not less than one and no more than 3 months, who use the language of the host country or another language by mutual agreement, and upon invitation by the hosting higher education institution.
- Up to 6 people in summer language seminars.
The programme also envisages cooperation in the field of science. In particular, funding, in so far as both parties can afford, of joint research projects, exchanges of scientists and experts to be involved in the implementation of such projects; exchange of experience and publications in the field of science and technology, promoting joint participation of partner scientific institutes and universities in projects under the Horizon 2020 European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
